How will this effect the timeline?

How will this affect the timeline?

"Affect" is usually the verb (to influence); "effect" is usually the noun (the result).

Use **affect** as a verb (to influence) and **effect** as a noun (the result). "How will this affect the timeline?" ✓ "What effect will the delay have?" ✓ Rare exception: "to effect change" (to bring about).
